Seabeck Community Center Fundraising for New Park

The success of the pickleball courts in Seabeck has brought new life to the Seabeck Community Center (SCC). The SCC is currently in the process of creating a family pickleball park next to the courts for visitors to socialize, relax, and enjoy nature.

“The ground cover and picnic tables are ordered,” Port Commissioner Axel Strakeljahn shared with HCN.

The plans for this park include picnic tables and benches in the short term. However, pending approval from the Central Kitsap School District, the SCC have bigger plans in the works.

Their long-term vision includes a natural playground focused on children's fitness, a timber frame pavilion for shelter, concerts, and community events, and access to power and water. The goal is to make this park a hub for community activity.

The community center is having a fundraiser for the new park. Community members can purchase an engraved brick that will be installed in the walkway between the pickleball courts and the park area.

You can use the bricks to honor someone or something meaningful to you while helping unite the Seabeck community. There are three size options that include text and an option to add a logo.

The brick fundraiser is a crucial part of the park funding. The SCC is reaching out to the community for help in bringing this vision to life. More information on ordering here.
